When i was growing up, i used to buy old jeans at a local thrift store and turned them into purses, floppy hats, and jean skirts.
But my skirts were long skirts with insets from another item of clothing i purchased from the thrift store.
Then i would embellish with hand embroidery and sell them at a local consignment store.
